I think the GoCoax was the problem in my case. The issue I have is that I would like to upgrade to Fios's 200mb plan. So the coax wire goes into the adapter and Ethernet from adaptor goes into the dream machine’s WAN port. Also the attenuation of the cable is very small, less than 8dB per 100 feet.

However according to Verizon, I would need to be switched to Ethernet instead of Coaxial to utilize the 200mb speeds. Yes, there is no ONT in my unit. More posts from the HomeNetworking community. Look no further!

I connected the two adapters with coax and the MOCA light turned green on both so apparently they work. That particular manufacturer’s similar adapter costs almost double and their support asked me to change all 3 devices to MoCA 2.5 as their product is not backward compatible.

FIOS is limited to 100 mbps over CoAx.
