Parts necks - Warmoth vs. Musikraft vs. I've bought two Mighty Mite necks. Unfortunately it is a few ounces heavier than the much lighter Mighty Mite, which is closer in quality to the Fender factory necks.

I saw no real difference. I have had both Warmoth and MM necks. You get what you pay for. I love this neck .   Pasted as rich text. But my decision will be mainly on cosmetic features or I'd be happy with a mighty mite. Yeah Ill probably go Mighty Mite. I didn't pay over $125 for either one. The mighty might neck was garbage. But, I've used Warmoth products on several subsequent builds precisely because they offer options that you can't get from many other neck makers. Yeah I planned on getting an unfinished one. As an update, warmoth offers necks that have graphite neck supports that are supposedly lightler. I have also had good luck with the Mighty Mite necks. The Warmoth neck is a very high quality neck with steel reinforcement rods and a better truss rod. I know Warmoth has SS frets. Wah!

Action is awesome fit and feel are great. I have tung oiled my necks for years without any problems ever.

I have a Carvin neck like this and I really like the look and feel of it. I need a Strat neck for a project im doing. That being said i bought a mighty mite 2 piece ash strat body about 3 years ago and the quality seems pretty good. I bought my body from Warmoth but bought the neck from GFS and couldn't be happier. leave it raw, you will thank yourself, trust me. I like 80s Mighty Mite a lot - the new stuff is alright. gives it a finished-sheen, slight shield from the elements, but still feels raw. warmoth doesnt do fretwork, but their craftsmanship usually makes it so you dont need fretwork, i think i could say that about both companies honestly. One piece maple, medium c, 6100 frets, truss adjustment at headstock, satin nitro w/ vintage tint. Can you just leave it raw, or would that affect playability or longevity?
