But I’m really liking what I’m tasting with this tea. If you have steady doses of coffee and black tea during the day switching to non-caffeinated tea like Rose tea at night is a good idea. Her oldest daughter is married and has bestowed Anne with the proud title of "Gramma" and her grandson is about the cutest boy you ever did see. This is fairly astringent, and I find that the astringency builds as I sip … starting out rather subtle but now that I’m more than halfway through my cup, the astringency seems much stronger – it is tangy and slightly drying. Taste is delicate and exotic, needs lass sugar than normal, didn't like the strong taste of tea much, used to a hint of sweetness in English breakfast tea, which I found missing here. There is some bitterness to this cup, but it isn’t an “oops I scorched the Oolong” kind of bitterness, but more of a contrasting flavor to the sweetness at the start of the cup.

According to the description, it would seem that this is actually an Oolong, although on the Mountain Rose Herb website it can be found amongst the black teas. Bold, dark and inviting; this certified organic and fair trade tea is not to be missed. Giving only 3 stars because my expectation from the main product (the tea) was not met fully. We will never use herbs that are conventionally grown with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or ecologically harmful chemicals.
